Bodegas Martín Códax was founded in 1985 taking the name of the most famous Galician troubadour, who used to sing about love and the sea of our coast. His mediaeval poems, the oldest of the Galician- Portuguese language, are still conserved with the original music. Since it was founded, Bodegas Martín Códax has always grown and flourished while supporting its people, land and culture. This is who we are and that’s how we make our wines. A project based on the dream, passion and work of a group of wine-making families is now a reality that has made it possible for the Bodegas Martín Códax to become a symbol of Galician wine inside and outside our country, promoting our unique, strong identity in over 50 countries in the world.
