In this activity, the goal is to immerse participants in the world of sailing using small boats such as the Spanish raquero and the carabel. The latter, a boat exceeding five meters in length, can accommodate up to 5 people, including the skipper. It will take place in the port of Portonovo (Baltar), and the sailing area may extend to the nearby beaches of Silgar and Caneliñas, though we will stay within the entrance of the harbour and the centre of the estuary. The sailing experience will last two hours.
Participants do not need to have any particular skills or be great at sports; a keen interest in learning and sailing will be enough. The only essential requirement is that all participants have at least basic swimming skills. Those who join should bring along a raincoat (optionally, a wet suit), water shoes, swimwear, and a towel. Sessions will preferably be scheduled on weekends (Saturdays or Sundays) from May to September.
