RIA DE PONTEVEDRA, COMBINATION OF ART, GASTRONOMY AND HISTORY
During this trip we’ll get a glimpse of the Ria de Pontevedra, discover its capital Pontevedra, where we’ll take a walk through its streets learning about the history of this small city. We’ll also go to the island of Tambo, a small natural area of great beauty. All this accompanied by dinners made with seasonal, local products.
Day 1: Starting point – Gran Talaso Hotel Sanxenxo:
Departure from origin to Galicia at customer’s expense. Arrival at the hotel, dinner with seasonal, local products and accommodation.
Day 2: Ria de Pontevedra:
Breakfast. Depart to board a catamaran to explore the beautiful island of Tambo, its history, its wildlife sanctuary and its dolphins. We’ll learn about the bateas and how oysters, scallops and mussels are cultivated. Tide permitting, we’ll get within 10-15 metres, observing a unique panoramic view of the town of Combarro that can only be seen from the boat. Disembark in Pontevedra and free time for lunch. In the afternoon and accompanied by our guide, we’ll take a walk through its old town, in particular visiting the Virgen Peregrina church, the Herrería square and the church-convent of San Francisco, the Leña and Verdura squares, the ruins of Santo Domingo and the basilica of Santa María. Return to the hotel, dinner with seasonal, local products and accommodation.
Day 3: Galicia – origin:
We’ll end the trip with a full breakfast at the hotel. End of our services
