World Heritage: Galicia has five elements recognized as World Heritage by UNESCO. The legendary Camino de Santiago stands out, which is not only a pilgrimage route but also a unique cultural and spiritual experience.
- The historic center of Santiago de Compostela was the first to be recognized in 1985.
- The Camino Francés was added in 1993, followed by the Caminos del Norte in 2015.
- The Roman wall of Lugo, an impressive structure from the 3rd century AD, was included in the year 2000.
- The majestic Tower of Hercules, the oldest functioning Roman lighthouse, received its distinction in 2009.

Respect for wildlife: Do not visit places with wild animals unless their main function is their recovery and care.
Take only memories: Take your waste with you until you find a suitable container, even leftover food and fruit, so as not to alter the beauty and tranquility of these spaces.

Galicia has a network of trains and buses that can bring you closer to many of the places you want to visit. If you cannot access your destination by public transport, opt for more efficient transport, this way you will reduce your footprint.
